Description
The imagination is as infinite as a circle. 360° is an expression of this idea. Every page in this book represents one degree of the circle. But this circle is not a repetition. Rather, it gives insight into the journey of an artist who set out to teach himself how to draw. For more than 5 years, Michael Salvadori worked on this colossal dreamscape made of ink and paper.
Like a surrealistic hidden picture image, it has no central storyline. Instead, the icons and archetypes of our collective imagination rise up to play freely in it. While at first these are still in the desert, more and more light and perspective penetrate the surface and create a living space. The circle begins and ends with faces recognising themselves. They look into and upon themselves. hey are the same and yet no longer recognisable. Thus the circle closes and transcends itself.
